March 12, 2016.

In celebration of Pi Day, we bring you our 3rd annual pie-eating contests. Nerds and pie lovers unite for a day with lots of pie and little to no math. There will be three contests this year:

Pair (two people, one large pie) - $20 to enter
Individual (one person, one medium pie) - $10 to enter
Kids (one kiddo, one mini pie) - $5 to enter

**This year's flavor will be APPLE CRANBERRY with apples from Hill Orchards in Johnston, RI and cranberries from Stone Bridge Farm in Acushnet, MA**

All proceeds benefit our friends at DownCity Design, a youth-powered design studio in Providence, RI. More below!

Sign up to test your mettle or come by to watch the spectacle and enjoy music, face painting (mathematical symbols encouraged), pies for sale, and more! Space is limited for eaters.

A message from 2014 Pi(e) Day Champion Tyson Bottenus.

Pi(e) Day benefits DownCity Design. Proceeds will help to fund their various youth programs around the city of Providence. They design. They do math. They build awesome things.

DownCity Design is a community design/build studio that empowers youth through design education. Our mission is to improve cities across the state of Rhode Island by getting young people involved in creating small-scale structures to improve their communities. Participants in our free in-school, after-school, and summer programs work together to design and build interventions that make their neighborhoods better places to live, work, and learn.
